History:


The Mamkute children were born and raised in the deep forests of Kilia. This forest used to be a safehaven for the mamkutes for many years; it was one of the many secrets held by the strange country. It was in these forests of their birth that they learned about old lore, magic, and certain aspects about the war of secrets that was passed down through generations. Being the youngest--and by many years--of the tribe, there was still much that was not taught to them; a lot was taught yes, but not enough about the outside world that would enable them to survive in it.

Prudence, the older of the twins, takes her role rather seriously, mostly due to her brother's shy demeanor. It took several years for her strong personality to assert itself, though she always was somewhat different from her brother--more stubborn, somewhat picky, perhaps even somewhat defiant--she was a smart child, always quick to question the teachings of the Elders, never completely satisfied with the answers that she recieved whenever she thought to ask 'why'. She was always quick to defend any action she makes, as well as her brother's.

Now lost in the forests of Kilia, separated from any adult figures, as the older of the two, Prudence feels that it is her responsibilty to take charge and lead herself and her brother to safety. On one hand, she is very scared about being alone, yet the absence of authority is something that she finds.. refreshing. Unfortunately, she hasn't been able to navigate through the forest very well, the twins likely ending up even more lost than they were originally.

Recently the twins have been split up. After being knocked unconscious, Prudence was being held in a manor in Cierre for quite a long period of time before she was finally rescued by Kerrik and Mallory, whom she is now traveling with.

After spending some time with Kerrik's group, that group slowly began to drift apart. After Mallory left, she found it a bit uncomfortable to be left with Kerrik, so she decided to strike out on her own again. Through the journals she met Rina, who invited her to stay and help out at the Crossroads, doing odd jobs at the inn to earn her food and shelter while she waited for her brother to cross the desert.

During her stay with Rina, Prudence has discovered that not all humans are bad, and she quite enjoys living there. She doesn't realize that they've practically come to think of her as one of their own, or how much living with them these years has helped shape her. While she waited for her brother, she 'adopted' a bird and a cat, named Hope and Mallorie respectively. When she and Patience finally reunited, it was a happy meeting, though somewhat strange; both of them had changed much in the time that they had been separated, and Prudence, being happy where she was, did not have the same urge to find the home that had abandoned them as her brother did.

When Patience chose to leave on his own, she felt guiltridden and uneasy, and later on learned that he was kidnapped by mysterious people from Atsiria. She still was not sure what to do, though Rina told her that she would help accompany her in search of him.






Personality:


Prudence is a stubborn girl, steadfast in her belief that she is usually right. She's smart and she knows it, though perhaps not smart enough to understand too much about the ways of humans. She is many things on the surface, not willing to reveal that she is, still a child and that there are some things that she cannot comprehend; not willing to reveal that she feels lost and scared, and that she's thankful for Patience, if only because his constant presence is what allows her to be strong all the time.

She is as curious as she is knowledgable. She knows full well that her pride and her curiousity could very well be her undoing, though she isn't really.. arrogant about it, unless someone makes it an issue. If properly angered, her temper could indeed be termed fiery, as she isn't very trusting of the situation that they're in. Sometimes her tone can be described as 'singsong'. She does it deliberately, either to mask her true emotions or to just be.. silly.






Appearance:


Prudence is small, with a petite, sturdy build. A cloak covers her wings, as she is not quite old enough to hide them. Her soft pink hair is chin-length, but fluffy and volumous, sometimes tamed by a ribbon, and bangs cover her forehead, though her grey eyes are quite visable, usually with a determined expression.
